I haven't used CC for a little while, but I seem to recall a recent update to Bridge?
Anyway, just tried opening a file using Bridge and it locks up the computer.
Sometimes I can move the mouse, sometimes not.
Even if I can, nothing is clickable.
Cannot bring up the force quit menu either.
The only option is to restart the computer by pressing the power button.
Running 10.11.6 on a Mac Pro (early 2008).
Cannot contact support by telephone as it's the weekend - just when I needed to get a lot of stuff done urgently!
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards Russell F
p.s. I think the problem may be with Camera Raw????
Reading the article above - even though it did not appear to relate to my computer and graphics card, I decided to check it.
The setting was to use the graphics processor. I have NOT changed any settings in this regard, so I cannot say whether the box was previously ticked, or whether the latest update ticked it automatically.
Either way though, it has solved the problem.
I have unticked the box and Camera Raw is no longer crashing my mac. Hooray!
Hopefully this result may help someone else, althoug

Hi thanks for the idea.
Tried that but unfortunately it didn't help.
I now definitely think it is nothing to do with Bridge, but the Camera Raw plug in.

Have tried Photoshop and it opens jpg files, but when you try and open a raw file the computer becomes completely unresponsive.
Just downloaded the late DNG installer from Adobe but that does not help.
Using the CC app in menu bar Camera Raw uninstall and manage options are greyed out.
Don't know if this is significant or not.......
Found this article Crash Camera Raw or Lightroom but it relates to Windows PC's with AMD graphics.
