Hello,
I have a special SSD just to hold Cache Files and wanted to change / move cache directory to that SSD.
So, I change in all CC2018 Products the Standard Path "C:\Users\mhess\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\Media Cache Files" to this SSD.
-> No effect, System builds the cache files in the old directory (at least for Bridge CC 2018)
Hi scubamedia,
Can you please check in Adobe Bridge preferences if the path has been updated to the new location.
If no, can you please try changing again and press OK on the preference dialog.
Please let us know if you face the issue again.
Regards,
Abhishek Seth.

After restart it works now - Bridge cache files are now on the designated drive and folder! Thanks.
However I am experiencing now two other problems in Premiere Pro perhaps also related to the same topic 🙂
In "File Import Dialog" I am experiencing "application hangs" where I have to stop primiere pro and restart it.
In Premiere, everytime when I am opening a project the preview icons / pictures of the media are re-created -> normal? Takes a long time...
Background:
In the preferences/media cache I set the Media Cache File Folder for Premiere Pro also to a separate very fast NVME SSD.
e.g. "T:\users\Name\Appdata\Roaming\Adobe\Common" - where it created a subfolder "Media Cache Files"
However in both folder listed there are current files:
T:\users\Name\Appdata\Roaming\Adobe\Common\Media Cache Files
and
C:\users\Name\Appdata\Roaming\Adobe\Common\Media Cache Files
same for the subfolder "Media Cache".
