There's a new option available in Creative Cloud for people who struggle with the rigid, single user concept in Lightroom Classic. Advertised as the cloud version, Lightroom (7) recently added support for local files. The typical Lightroom toolset is available – yet without prior import into a database. You just browse your local system, pick a file and start editing.
The program, unlike Bridge, is heavily focused on photographer-specific tasks. Apart from RAW, only very few file formats are supported, also PSDs are only read in if they have been saved with composite layers (max compatibility checked). As also true for Lightroom Classic, there's no way to manage print or web content and their file formats. Hence, our team has to stick with Bridge 🙂.
