Hi John,

Not that it helps you directly but it's displaying my CR2 images with no issues. You've done a great job in already doing a bunch of corrective actions, haave you also rebuilt your prefs?

When launching Bridge, Command-Option (Mac)/Control-Alt (Win) + Shift to choose “Reset Preferences”, Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache”, and/or Reset Standard Workspaces”.

Let us know if this helps.

I've only just re-installed Bridge - downloading the current version - after re-installing Windows.

Every single .cr2 image I have is apparently not recognised by Bridge and it only displays them as a general image icon.

Starting Bridge while pressing Ctrl-Alt-Shift does not enable me to reset preferences. I simply get the Windows Shortcut Properties box.

Edit: I followed your suggestions vis-a-vis purging the Cache and it made no difference. I then found another suggestion elsewhere on the internet and I went into the AppData folders and drilled down to the Cache folder and deleted it. Still no difference.

Well, Adobe Bridge is free and the accepted wisdom is you get what you pay for....
