Hi, I keep getting a pop-up when I want to export a PDF file with pictures from Bridge. It wont export, I've tried different computers. Does anyone know what I can do about this.
Might the files be located or be sent to the Desktop?
The reason why I'm asking is because of Apple's virus protection. Have you given Bridge full access to the entire computer? If not, here's what to do:
Go to your System Preferences and select Security and Privacy (found in the top section). Now click on the Privacy setting (last tab). Now click on the lock on the bottom left and provide your Administrator code. Now select the Full Disk Access option and click on the "+" symbol. This will

Hi, @Isa31649052nzs0,
Can you please let us know what version of the Mac OS you are using? What version of Bridge are you using?
And where are the original files located and what location are you sending the PDF to?
Thank you

This will bring up the standard Mac Open window and let you add any application you want or need to have full access. Look for Bridge, and select it; it will now appear in that window, and make sure it's checked. Next, go to the Files and Folders option and do the same thing as above (although there's nothing to check, just add. Close everything down and see if that makes it all work.
Please let me know if this is relevant and if it works.

Hi Gary_sc. I'm getting the same error. I'm on mac Sonoma 14.4. I tried your suggestion of allowing Bridge full access.
I tried pulling images from the desktop and I'm getting the error "Generate PDF failed due to unknown reason."
Any thoughts on how I resolve this? Thank you.

Hmm, I'm still using Ventura, so I cannot test this. Sadly, this error message doesn't provide much insight.
Forgive me; I'm grasping at straws here, but have you tried refreshing the Cache for that folder? [Tools (menu) -> Cache -> Purge cache for "xx" folder.]
In addition, let me also provide updated instructions for providing permissions to Bridge. With Ventura and Sonoma, things are a bit different.
Go into the System Preferences and select the Privacy & Security tab on the left. Note that there are two options on the right you'll need to deal with: "Files and Folders," and "Full Disk Access."
First, going into Files and Folders, note that in various years of different releases of Adobe Bridge, different needs are needed. I do not know why this is, but it's always better to check and make sure that just because you did it for one release, you may or may not need it for a subsequent release.
Lastly, go into the Full Disk Access option. If you do not see your application in the list, click on the "+" symbol at the very bottom of the window. This will bring up a standard Finder window. Navigate to your Applications Folder, find Adobe Bridge, and add it to the list (You will need to add your Administrator's password to do this.). Then you can "switch" it to the "ON" position.
Please let us know if that works or not.

"GENERATE PDF FAILED DUE TO UNKNOWN REASON". I'm using Sequoia 15.4..1. Granted full disk access, deleted cache. Still getting this error message.

Same thing happening here. I'm using Bridge 2025 on Sequoia and I can't save a PDF. Generate PDF failed, etc.
