I upgraded my MacBook Pro to the Monterey OS yesterday and decided to update my CC programs today. I noticed after installing Bridge 2023, previewing images doesn't work anymore. I have been searching the discussions on here to figure it out, but nothing seems to work. I have emptied all my caches. I changed the thumbnail preview size (which, why on earth is MB and not GB? I routinuely deal with photos that are at least 1 GB and usually larger than that). I restarted Bridge and my laptop a million times. Does anyone know any way to make the preview feature work again???

Wait, you have JPG images over a GB?
Anyhow, where are these images located? Desktop? External Drive?
Have you given Permission for Bridge to access these files?
This is not the fault of Adobe or anyone; this is Apple making sure that applications that have not been given permission to access areas of your computer cannot access those areas of your computer.
Go to your System Preferences and select Security and Privacy (found in the top section). Now click on the Privacy setting (last tab). Now click on the lock on the bottom left and provide your Administrator code. Now select the Full Disk Access option and click on the "+" symbol. This will bring up the standard Mac Open window and let you add any application you want or need to have full access. Look for Bridge, select it; it will now appear in that window, and make sure it's checked. Next, go to the Files and Folders option and do the same thing as above (although there's nothing to check, just add. Close everything down and see if that makes it all work.
Please let me know
[Note: these images are from an older OS, the process is the same.]

Yes, the two jpg images that are visible in my screenshot are both over 4 GB. I work in print and the photos must always be high res. I am accessing photos through One Drive on Sharepoint, which worked just fine until today.
I cannot access the privacy settings on my laptop. The IT department locks it for company privacy, I guess. Considering they never had to adjust privacy settings for images to preview in Bridge previously, I don't think that is the issue now.

OK, you updated to Monterey, and suddenly you cannot access images and are blaming Adobe?
You need to take your laptop to IT, have them do the procedures above, and you'll be good.
Meanwhile, how did you update to Monterey if you do not have Administrator rights?

I'm not blaming Adobe, but I thought there might be a connection between updating to a new version and Bridge not showing preview images anymore. I have also asked IT for help, but while I'm waiting for them to respond, I figured I'd ask here to see if I could get some quicker answers. Once I hear from them, I'll be sure to ask about the privacy settings too.

I had a file that wouldn't render a thumbnail. It was over 1gb so I changed my preference to process files 5000 MB and higher (5gb) it it still wouldn't render a thumb no matter how many times I purged. Then I *lowered* that number to like 3000 MB and then it rendered fine. Was very weird and vexing for a moment. Not say this will fix your issues but it's definitely not something I've experienced prior to 2023's Bridge.
