Reveal in Bridge with a New Window

New Here ,
Aug 26, 2018 Aug 26, 2018

Hi,

There is probably an easy answer to this and I've just overlooked it, but here's what I'm trying to accomplish...

I have a large directory of images with multiple sub-folders with images contained in them. When I open Adobe Bridge, I use the feature to view items from sub-folders and then I sort by folder name. This gives me all the images from each folder at once. Because there are thousands of Photoshop and JPEG images, it takes a bit of time to filter and display the search results.

Once I have this view set up, I then will often pick a photo I like and then want to explore similar photos (different camera shots) from that roll and from that sub-folder. If I click on the Reveal in Bridge option (to see the other related folder images), Bridge will take me to that folder. So far, so good.

The issue is that when I click on the back button to go to my original view of all images from all folders, I have to wait for everything to reload and often the view from sub-folders option is no longer selected.

Is there a shortcut or option that when I click, Reveal in Bridge, it automatically opens a new Bridge window for that image and the related images from that folder?

My workaround at present is to open two Bridge windows (the original sub-folder view that I wish to pick images from) and a top-level folder view. When I see a photo I want to explore in the first window, I then use Reveal in Bridge in the second window by searching for that image's file name.

Thanks in advance

Joe
