Run Photoshop action from Bridge script

I have a Br script which loads and saves thumbnail Stacks into a layered PSD.

I would like the Br script to run a Photoshop action which renames the PSD layers before saving the file.

Can a Br script run a Photoshop action?

What is the Br scripting syntax to run a Photoshop action?

The statement doAction("Action Name","Action Set") is not working in the Br script.
