Search not working

My bridge search stopped working. I checked to make sure I was searching the computer, not Adobe Stock on Current Folder. I uninstalled the 2018 then reinstalled which made no difference. Help!

Hi benfrew,

Have you checked the folder permission . Also check if other software are preventing  bridge to access that folder like Windows 10 Creators in case of @lindap76595986. As for me its working fine on windows 7 64 bit and 32 bit . Below are the screen shots for the search inside sub folders. Still you are facing the issue then please check

The search works if I use the Bridge current folder, and if I search from the drop down menu. But if I select "windows search current folder' or windows search computer it doesn't work. I tried search terms that I knew had file names that were associated.

I did a screen print, but I don't know how to attach it.

Thank you

I also performed a program repair on Creative Cloud, uninstalled bridge, reinstalled 2017, cleared the cache and dumped the cache folder. I did a system restore as well.

I figured out the answer! I uninstalled the newest version of Windows 10 Creators. Search works fine now.

I'm also having the same problem. But I'm on Windows 7 so the above solution doesn't apply.

This is only since the recent update of bridge, and it happens regardless of whether I'm choosing to search Bridge or Windows Desktop.  Essentially it seems that it is not searching subfolders, even though it says it is.

Have you tried uninstalling the new bridge and going back to the older version? I did that was well as going back to the older version of Windows 10. I'm not sure now which one fixed it, since you are on Windows 7.
