Hi all,

If I open a group of photos in Adobe bridge and select a photo (or all photos), then right click and select "file info" the "basics" panel shows my copyright info for 2021. I have created a template for 2022 and 2023. I then have to import the 2022 template to apply the correct date to current files. Is there a way to set the 2022 template as a default, so I don't have to keep importing the correct template? I will need to then change it again in 2023. Thanks in advance.

Paul

Bridge doesn't auto-add info, but Camera RAW can use templates. Is your camera setting copyright info?

Hi Paul, I'm not sure I'm following you. If you take a photo in 2022. You do not need, nor should you, update it with 2023 in a week or two. The copyright is pertinent to the year you TOOK the photo. That's it.

Or, am I misunderstanding you?

Hi Gary. Sorry if I was not clear here. Ok...for example, I took some photos on the 2nd December, 2022, but right clicking them in Bridge and selecting the basics panel shows the copyright notice as 2021. I then have to import a template I made for 2022. (see attached screen grab). yes, I took then photos in 2022, but my 2021 template seems to be the default. Hope that's clearer now. Cheers.

How did you import the images into Bridge? If you used the Photo Downloader, be sure you're in the Advanced mode, and from there you can select which template you should use. If you just opened images that you moved onto your computer via Finder or Explorer, there should not have been any template selected.

Now I don't quite follow you. I copy the raw files from my xqd card to my computer (onto a folder in my D  drive) and open them in Bridge. When I first did this in 2021(with images taken in 2021) I added my desired info into the basics section of the "file info" dialogue box and saved that as a template. Now that it's 2022 that 2021 template continues to show shown when I right click a file in the "file info" dialogue box, and I then have to import a 2022 template. Hopefully you follow?
