some .tiff files won't open in Bridge Preview

In Bridge, I added a bunch of photo's to a Collection called Black & White.  When I open the collection most of the photos will open in the Preview screen, but some of them will not-they are tiff files.  All I get is a small emblum with the file name under neath.  Usually it is the same photo's that will not open, but sometimes a few different ones pop up.  I have gone to the file location directly and most of these photos will not open in preview there either.  Some are large files and some are not. Four day's ago all was good, I thought I was using the most recent version at the time, but it may have been after the last update?

I have un-installed Bridge and re-installed it, no difference.

Is anyone having these issues and if you found a solution, please let me know.  Thank You - Noreen

Hello @bodinek63463981

This issue is fixed with the latest Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 15.5.1 update.

We recommend you to update to ACR 15.5.1, 'Purge' your files, and confirm if the issue is resolved at your end.

To Update: Go to the Creative Cloud desktop app, click on Update in the left sidebar of the Apps panel, and Check for updates. Then click Update for Camera Raw.

Will they open in an image editor or viewer? What operating system and are you sure they are TIFF files?

Hello, TIFF can be many types of images, including multipage ones created by some scanners.

Try to post one in your CC space and share it here.

Try also to open it with the Windows viewer, or check which program created it...

I have the same issue.  Photoshop and Bridge updated.  Pictures were downloaded from the camera usinf Canon EOS utility.  Then I use Canon Professional 4 to batch the raw files to .tif.

Today for the first time in years Bridge cannot open and show the .tif files for review.  Photoshop can open them but something has changed in Bride.  And, Canon Pro 4 does not convert .CR2 to >PSD format.

Thank you

I have this same problem.  The image are ones that I have worked with and saved as TIFFs.  They appear simply as icons in Bridge Context and Preview, but will open in PS 2022.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.  MS

How large are they? You can set a size limit for processing in Bridge preferences.

Found a solution - see link here

From link:

1. Close bridge

2. (on Mac) Navigate to /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences

3. find the file called "Adobe Camera Raw 15.0 Prefs"

4. Delete file (or rename it something like "Adobe Camera Raw 15.0 Prefs_BACKUP")

5. Open bridge - it should then re-build that preference file.
