Started today, I file a jpg from a photoshop image. I want to be able to add a keyword that I have been using for some number of months. I get the following error:
There was an error writing metada to "Honey 2.jpg"
Honey 2 is my file name.
Windows 8.1
Bridge 8.1.0.383

R-click the file in your file manager.
Check under properties, security
See if the file allows you full access.
You can also try renaming it.

Also be aware that Windows 8 support has expired and Bridge 8 is no longer available for download. You may want to be looking at upgrading your computer soon.

I am having the same issue - but in windows 10. The error began when I installed the latest version of Bridge. And while I can edit metadata in the latest version, it doesn't have a way to batch add file names to the title, so I have to use Bridge 8.1.0 for renming and adding the file name to the metadata title and then go into the new Bridge to do metadata. It is very frustrating.

Are you talking about adding the filename to the XMP title field?
