Tiff preview not shown

New Here ,
Dec 13, 2021 Dec 13, 2021

Good afternoon,

me and my colleagues are using different versions of Adobe Bridge (from 10.1 to the most recent version), but all of us are facing the same issue: Bridge is not showing tiff previews, no matter what file size is.
Setting maximum file size to 10GB did not work.
ACR is working fine.

Thanks everyone for your help.
Luigi

Hi Luigi,

Please try doing both of the following:

1) Rebuild your Bridge Preferences:

To reset Preferences:

Quit Bridge if running. Just before clicking on Bridge in the Dock or double-clicking the application,  press Command-Option (Mac)/Control-Alt (Win) + Shift. Then open Bridge BUT KEEP your fingers on those keys until you see a window pop up. From the window, choose “Reset Preferences," "Entire Thumbnail Cache”, and/or "Reset Standard Workspaces.” In your case, choose "Reset Preferences."

Refresh the folder's cache:

Please go to Tools (menu) -> Cache -> Manage Cache…, then follow this:

Pleaase let us know if this fixed things or not.

Hi Gary and thank you for your answer.
I did as you told me, but it didn't work.

Hi Luigi,

I've just done a bit of testing with a TIF image by having layers, a flattened image, compressed, not compressed and I cannot duplicate your issue.

As such, I'd like to look at one of your TIF images. To do this you'll need to send it to me via a PM (Private Message) by clicking on the Letter icon seen in the upper right hand corner. HOWEVER, you can't send TIF images. So what you'll need to do is to lie to the powers that be by manually changing the TIF to JPG. Your operating system might ask you if you really really mean that, click yes.

Hopefully this will work and you can send it to me. What I'm trying to rule out is: is this an issue with your TIF images or your system? I do not know and wish to try this to rule out at least one category of potential issues.

If you still cannot send me one image, can you send me a link to a DropBox link or some other mechanism?

Gary

Let me know if you need something verified.

I am viewing tiff files on both my OS systems.
