Unable to save the raw conversion settings. The file could not be found

Hello,

I recently updated my MBP to Monterey, 12.2.1

Then updated PS to 23.2.1, and Bridge to 12.0.1.246

Camera Raw is the latest one, 14.2

Settings in Raw files disappear when i open them next time, everything is at default. Bridge Thumbnails don't show the ikon of corrections in a file.

If i try to save a corrected image, clicking Done, this message appears:

 I can't find anything recent on this issue so if someone has any idea how to get this fixed then that would be awesome. It's painful to go and do same things over and over again.

As you probably know, you cannot make a change to a raw image. Rather, any changes are saved to an xmp file that is saved in the same folder as the image. (If you move either the image or the xmp file out of that folder, any changes will be gone. Rejoining them into the same folder will allow the changes to again show up.)

Now, why you cannot save the xmp file from landing in the image's folder, I have a thought: have you redone your Security & Privacy settings for your applications? Below, I'm showing how you do that for Bridge, but essentially the same process is done for other applications.

Go to your System Preferences and select Security and Privacy (found in the top section). Now click on the Privacy setting (last tab). Now click on the lock on the bottom left and provide your Administrator code. Now select the Full Disk Access option and click on the "+" symbol. This will bring up the standard Mac Open window and let you add any application you want or need to have full access. Look for Bridge, select it, it will now appear in that window and make sure it's checked. Next, go to the Files and Folders option and do the same thing as above (although there's nothing to check, just add. Close everything down and see if that makes it all work.

Hello Gary,

Thanks a lot for a prompt answer, it seems to have fixed my problem since now edits remain within Raw file, icon is visible as well. I did both, clicked 'Done' to save the file, quit Bridge and after opening again edit icon was still there, and Camera Raw opened with previous settings.

But, when i wanted open the file from Camera Raw now i got a message 'Could not open "..." because of a disk error'. Here's a screenshot from message window.

Also, when i selected "Files and Folders' in system preferences, Bridge wasn't 'active' like it is in your screenshot.

For now this fixed my first problem, but in a same time it created another, a way bigger one since i can't open anything anmore.

I haven't changed anything in my settings, privacy all that, ever, and everything has been a smooth ride. 

Any idea what would be a fix for this? I have a shoot starting at monday and it would be greatly appreciated if i could get this working. I will do another search of course re my new issue but if this is something you know and have a fix for then please let me know.

Ok, so i did same for a PS as what i did with Bridge, gave full disk access, and that seemed to fix the problem for now. 

Hope i'm done with this and can move on, thanks a lot for your help!! I hope you don't hear from me anymore under this topic;))
