Since updating to Bridge 2024 - while in the Essentials work space on my MacBook Pro Ventura 13.4 , the file names sometimes appear under my images and then sometimes they don't.  It seems very buggy.   I have looked through the workspace options and all the buttons on the UI but I don't see anything about showing file names.   Does anyone have any help with this

Hi @John32475690j9iy, There are several things that can prevent the names from showing: if the size of the thumbnails is too small, they will not show, but that's obvoiusly (from your screenshot), not the case.

Otherwise,  check out the bottom right corner of the Content Panel and you'll see a dropdown arrowhead. At the very bottom of the list, you'll see "Thumbnails Only." If there is a checkmark on that, un-check it. See if that fixes your issue.

Hi Gary,

I didn't have a drop down menu, but there was a button on the bottom menu called "Thumbnails Only". I unchecked that and the file names and my ratings came back.  Thank you for your help.

Oh, that's what you get when your Content Panel is sufficiently wide. From your screenshot, I could not determine that. But yes, that does what you want when the Panel is wide. If the Panel is narrow, you'll see what I sent.

Glad to get you started.
