I can't find the option for this in Bridge and I didn't see any information on this online. How do I go about uploading an image for any file? For example, I want to add a thumbnail preview for 3D models so I can see what they actually are.

I believe Adobe has to add thumbnail support for specific file types. There is no way to manually add thumbs in Bridge.

That's unfortunate. I like using software in the same ecosystem but for me, not being able to see what a file is defeats the purpose of using Bridge at all. I guess I'll just use the Connector Asset Manager since they do have that option.

You can post on the Bridge uservoice and ask for this feature but TBH, the developers have far more basic stuff to implement than they can handle. Don't hold your breath waiting for this to be added.

Exactly why I'll just use Connector. Bridge has been around for awhile it seems and yet it doesn't have this basic feature, better to just use an alternative. Thanks for the answer.

This is the first time I have seen anyone need this feature, not sure if its basic but as long as you have an alternative then its all good.

For a software to claim to be an asset manager, I would think that being able to preview what the file looks like to be a given. It seems it's strength is in images and not 3D files. I don't see a way to close this post but I've gotten my answer.

This could also be a good workaround for HEVC videos, since Bridge 14 does not support them
