Why can't bridge just quickly open a folder when clicked on? Why the lag?

Hey Dave! We're sorry to hear about that. I need a few details to help you understand.

What version of Bridge and operating system are you working on? What type of image/video are you using to open? Does this happen with all the folders or with a particular folder?

Try the basic troubleshooting steps from this link, and let us know if this helps. https://adobe.ly/3LvsdMe

Thanks!

Thanks Shivani,

The lag happens with every folder I open. Mostly they contain reasonably sized Jpgs, Ai and Psd files though one folder has my Aep and Mov files, again nothing complicated as I try to keep things straight forward and use common sense. Upon clicking a folder containing these files Bridge acts as if it is searching well beyond what the folder contains. Nothing is connected to a network and all linked files are organized and logically named and are contained within the folder.

Thank you,

Dave
