Hi Daveo,

Sorry to hear about the number keys not working in Bridge, could you please let us know what version of Adobe Bridge you're working on?

Also, if you're not using version 9.0.1.216 please try updating Bridge via Creative Cloud desktop app and let us know if it helps.

You may also try resetting Bridge's Preferences and see how it goes: Troubleshoot Adobe Bridge for freezes and performance issues

Regards,
Sahil

Same thing here. They work if you take off the number lock key (for label option in preferences) but then your number keys don't work on the number key pad. This is a PITA.

Phrased wrong. This is tied to the preference >labels> require the control key to apply labels and ratings

Yes this is true. I found that out but that option should have nothing to do with the operation of the qwerty keys. It wasn't like that before the last update.

This is not a fix to the real bug or magic fix. The bug is Adobe changed the way keyboard entry works and broke the ability to enter numbers into the rename area when Require the Control Key to Apply Labels and Ratings is unchecked.

Never in the last 10 years has unchecking the "Require the Control Key..." impacting typing numbers into the rename filename area. This is a bug that creates a terrible change in user experience. Please fix the problem, not workarounds that are sub-optimal.

I'm having a similar, but possibly different manifestation of this nonsense. When I press command-6, 7, 8, or 9, the label change occurs, but then a few seconds later, it all by itself, changes back. I.e., label was 7 (yellow), and I press command-9. For a few seconds (2 or 3), the label changes to 9 (blue) but then changes itself back to 7 (yellow). I press command-9 again and this time the label change sticks. 100% repeatable in the latest version on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013).

This occurs, by the way, regardless of whether or not the "Require the control\command key to apply labels and ratings" is checked.

They are straight out of camera files from a Nikon. They would be too large to send. This feature worked three weeks ago or so before the update. For several years I have been able to hit command and the the number to get star ratings. Now even with that checked in preferences it still won’t work.
