Okay, I installed all of the cc2019 updates and Bridge (worked normally on cc2018) started to behave crazy. I mean all works except preview thumbnails. I get some kind of "static interference" pattern instead of previews.
I completely uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop and Bridge to solve the issue but no luck.
Computer is iMac Pro 27".
On my old iMac 27" (2011) it works normally after the update.
We have released a new version of Adobe Bridge (CC 2019) on 2nd November 2018. The new version build number is 184.108.40.206. This version is available to install via Adobe Creative Cloud application.
This Bridge update resolves the thumbnail rendering issue on iMac Pro devices and has few other bug fixes.
Please let us know if you face any issues.
Dear Siddharth and Adobe team,
Thank you for your hard work. Now it works fine. Have a nice weekend, you deserve it.
Thank you for acting so quickly on this issue, everything works like normal again.
I am in Australia and when downloaded the update, it's the faulty version not version 9.01.216. Am I Missing something here ?
Can you please try downloading from https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/bridge or try again from Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop app.
If the issue persists, please let us know the error you are facing.
I got the right version this time, but it does not work with some of my Nikon D500&D850 NEF Files, depending on the Nikon version.
Bridge 2018 works with all my Nikon files. This version does not seem to be compatible with all Nikon Nef's
Please peruse attachment.
Please find attachments below as requested.
I have the same issu with Nikon D850 files and bridge is so slow on my Imac Pro 10 core 3GHz 64GB ram?
kind regards // Alex
I have iMac Pro with Vega 56GB and have a Nikon D850, Bridge seems ok no crazies
Purging casche did the trick, but not only in Bridge, also did it in cameraRAW preferences
I now remember what has too be done to solve the problem.
Great you fixed it.
Thankksfor this correction for IMacpro users.
I am running a MacPro -
I come to the next problem: I seem to be clear that thumbnails creation is not done for TIF files over 40Mb.
How can I solve this?
Thanks helping me, I have many TIF over 100Mb
To process larger files, please go to Preferences->Cache and increase the Cache Size .
Now purge cache for files that do not have thumbnail.
After installing the latest update 220.127.116.11 , please purge cache for files that do not have correct thumbnail in Bridge.
I am happy to report that after installing the Bridge 18.104.22.168 update and purging the cache, that Thumbnails display correctly on my iMac Pro. Thank you, Adobe.
change this number to something high like 25,000
Working for me now, a clean install - removing preferences.
I had to purge the cache after first launch. Seem ok now.
FYI - iMac Pro, Vega 64 card, Mojave 10.14.1
Thanks guys! It works now!
Working. Thank you!
I assume we could mark this thread as answered.
Thanks for the fix. Much appreciated!
I still see the problem.
Can you please install the latest update of Bridge CC (22.214.171.124) and let us know if it solves the problem at your end.
I am having no issues anymore. Thanks!
I have a similar problem with inDesign files where they do not fill the window. The previews for jpgs work fine but Indesign files do not. They are just to small. I have adjusted the Process file size to 25,000, I have read 10 different threads and tried all there solutions but none have worked. The center picture is a Indesign file but will not fill the window like the jpg to the right. No matter how I resize the previews are small thumbnails. I also purged the cache after every change.
I used CS4 for many years with no problem, but since I updated to CC, Bridge is useless since I can't see previews larger for Indesign files.
You need to go into In Design and change the preview image size to see the preview larger.
Well done Adobe! All seems to work as of today. I haven't had a chance to take the new version for a real spin, but after emptying the cache, all the thumbnails rebuilt nicely. Thanks listening to us all freak out and taking action.
Thank you thank you thank you Adobe All seems to be working wonderfully now!!!! Thank you for fixing this up for us
I have updated to the new version and now the previews are correctly seen
thank you !
Thanks for the update Adobe.
