P: Bridge v16.0 drag drop on macOS dock does not work

Explorer ,
Oct 28, 2025 Oct 28, 2025

Hello.

I just updated Bridge to 2026 - running Mac OS 14.7.

Prior to the update, I was able to drag a folder of images from Finder to my Bridge icon in the taskbar and it would open that folder. This no longer works.

This old process was super efficient. Now to open something, I need to double click through MANY folders within Bridge to get to what I need.

Just downloaded the new (2026) version of Bridge, and dragging a folder to the mac dock icon doesn't load the folder as it used to. Dragging to the 2025 version still works. Dragging a file also no longer works. A simple issues like this will keep me from using the newest version, as it is a major part of my workflow.

Operating system is Tahoe 26.0.1. I have tried resetting bridge prefs and restarting my computer, but that didn't work.

Hello,

I’m reporting what seems to be a regression in Adobe Bridge 2026 on macOS Tahoe (26.0.1).

In all previous versions, it was possible to drag a folder from Finder onto the Adobe Bridge icon and Bridge would open directly on that folder.

Now a “no-access” icon appears when dragging a folder onto the app icon; even though the official documentation still lists this as a valid method to open folders.

IS this change intentional or it is a bug?

It’s a very convenient feature for macOS users and part of many daily workflows.

Thank you,
Giorgio

MacOS, Bridge v16 (2026). I became accustomed to being able to drag a folder from MacOS to the Bridge icon in the Dock, and then Bridge would open that folder location. Easy and fast!

But the new version doesn't allow this, nothing happens if I try it. I'd love to see it return.

Work around: I can drag the folder into Bridge's path bar, but it is a more difficult target to hit for a drag n' drop.

This works. Thanks! Would still be nice if they took care of it in the next update, but this is a good work around.

Dragging a folder or file on the Bridge 16.0 icon in the Dock does not launch the app. Also, when the app is open, dragging folder does not do anything.

Same operations work fine with version 15x.

Prefs were reset and still does not wok.

Thank you for your quick reply and for looking into this.
I’ve tried dragging folders while holding the Command key, but unfortunately it doesn’t work either.

I really hope this issue can be fixed soon.

Thanks again for your help and support.
