Hi

in setting > captcha I deselected the "campaign option but the cpatcha field still shows in the news letter campaign form. is it a bug?

I am using the campaign form generated in the Email Mailing List section.

Cheers

Micha

Hi, that option only removes the mandatory system set requirement for it. You will still need to go into the form and remove the html for the captcha and the javascript aspect of it in the form itself.

Thanks Liam,

Very intuative...-(

I did take out the captcha and script and still getting error when submitting. I am not a developer and thought that BC is for people like me. I eventually created a form and added a "list" item and hidden it. works now but I can't bill my client for the 3 hours I have been dealing with this.

Cheers

Micha

No not really, It is web development, html, javascript etc. Want to change the html? You edit it.

The captcha element in the admin clearly states its functionality in terms of mandatory system requirement.

BC can be for people if you are not a developer but to a degree. Same with other systems when you want to do more customisation - You need to understand these things to be able to do so.

You probably removed to much or not enough code to have the form still error.

Treat it is a learning curve. You can not blame BC for this, just web design and development. You need to know what you are doing.

What if your client wants more styled forms or asks for more complex feature to one of your forms? Possible in BC but you going to tell them it is not possible?

Thanks Liam,

BC doesn't state it clearly. This is what it says:

"

Note: To make sure that CAPTCHA validation will work on the following special forms, you need to enforce it here.

For regular web forms, the enforcement is automatic and no action is needed.

"

I did "enforce it here". doesn't say I need to take it out manually and how.

Cheers,

Micha

That is enforcement not inclusion and exclusion.  It reads fine for me 😕
