Hi,
I have a simple question - Just want to find out how to become an 'Adobe Business Catalyst certified partner'? Are all partners automatically certified and can this be put on our website?
Thanks

There is currently no such thing as a Business Catalyst Certified Partner. I am told they stopped having certification back when Adobe purchased it from GoodBarry. So if anyone has that on their site it is likely from back in the GoodBarry days and so much has changed that I would think that would be kinda meaningless at this point?

When I first b3ecame a Partner if you watched all the tutorial videos you became "Certified" I think. I watched like 95% of them, but they were pretty boring and I gave up. I see Partners with that on their sites, but I think it's made up. I dont really see anything wrong with it.... but I think maybe there should be something we can call ourselves as paid partners, other than paid partner, that gives us some kind of marketing edge. In fact... maybe Adobe can come up with something? Currently I say that I am partnering with Adobe on this system, which I am, but I dont say I am certified.

Yeah, there are three levels of partner, Free, Partner, and Premium Partner ....

Right... I know about that... but what I'm saying is maybe Adobe can sanction a marketing name for us premium partners. Or a logo, or something we can put on our sites.

Thing is, it needs more thought then that.
Because it is now Adobe it means Adobe approve of you as it were. That is quite a big claim to have and Adobe have to consider their reputation. How do they issue something that is not something that happens where the Muse guy who really has no clue about BC or what he is doing in the web design world, using templates and claiming them as custom designs (which exists right now, and there is worse) who can just do some things to get it and then use it to rip people off.
Over someone who knows the system very well and is a true expert.
A lot of peole do not understand the web so it is you as an expert to have to convince them to use you over an idiot and that is actually pretty tricky as you know. If they see something in the form of adobe aproval then they will be drawn to it.
Needs a lot of thought.

Your working on Certfied partner Scheme Brent?
You worked with Adobe and have this sanctioned and have them validating etc?
I can I would defiantly not be happy no matter who they are of anyone creating and running such a thing saying who is and who isnt that is not Adobe.
Need more info so will wait for September I guess but the above is how I will stand for now.

Man Liam, I wrote a really long post here but I just don't want to spoil the beans. In short, no, Adobe is not "sanctioning" this cowboy to go off and certify people with their name. They are not involved at this point on what I'm working on.
@Neil, September 24th in San Jose - some emails were sent out I think....
