Hi
I just lunched a site and gave BC full DNS management.
I setup a client user (admin) and email account. I used V3 so my client got an email setup notification.
The client is not receiving emails to his desktop (outlook) nor in webmail.
Upon trying to enter webmail (on old interface) this is the message:
The message said: ERROR: Either your user account does not have email enabled or you are trying to access Web Mail from an incorrect site. First go to Admin->Manage Domain Name to enable email for your domain. Then go to Admin->Manage Users to enable email for your user account.
I couldn't find a place to enable email. this feature should be on automatically I guess when BC manages the DNS.
I think there is a huge complexity/ inconsistency between the old interface and V3.
Can someone please tell me how to make a simply procedure such as adding/activating an email for a client? I have done this hundreds of time on various platforms but always loose time/money with BC.
Cheers
Micha

What's the client's email address?

I checked that email address and everything seems fine at our end. The mailbox actually has 2 emails in it. I can also go to mail.beigelpretzels.com. If you go to mail.beigelpretzels.com, can you log in with client's details?

Thanks Mario
Apparently my client never received the "email setup notification". Which makes me wonder, to which email address does this "Invitation Email" gets to? it cannot be to the one we just setup and there is no option to choose a user to send this to?
I am on BC interface version 3.
Thanks
Micha

It actually does go to the one that you've setup. This is meant to happen before you redelegate, but if it's a new email account then you get into catch 22 you have now.
Anyway, are you ok with this now? Note that you can reset the password for these email users under Partner Portal > Clients and then people can change their passwords once they log into webmail.

This is a very strange setup then. How can a setup email be sent before redelegating the domain? doesn't make sense.
on any other CMS, the admin or developer will create email accounts including setting up the password and simply send all info info to the client. POP3, SMTP, User and password. simple.
Why is so complicated here?
Thanks

I don't know. Did you solve the issue though? Can all the clients log in and access their mail? If not, please PM me the email addresses that don't work and I'll help you with this.

All good now.
Still very strange procedure but we got it working.
Thanks for all the help.
