Company name appears as a new entry in CRM

Hi

I have a simple Newsletter form in www.stsstone.com.au

The submitted details in the CRM appear as two separate entries. one of the customer and one for the company. How can I capture all fields as one customer details?

When you have the company field the company if it does not exist will entered in the CRM. That is a a good thing. Thats how a good CRM should work. And you will find that the person has a relationship with the company. And if others use that company then they will be assoicated with it too.

Interesting Liam, but makes my client's life very complicated. We simply want a simple newsletter database. most of the entries if not all of them are one person per company, most are individuals or small companies. The client is importing data from other applications that do not split entries and also uses third party websites to send newsletters, so it might be a smart CRM but we want simple not smart!
