Hi
I have set up a secondary domain on my BC hosting successfully and have already set it up to point to a homepage and the url stays the way I wish, for example www.[secondary domain}.com
I now want to setup a web app to use my secondary domain rather than my default, does anyone know how I would achieve this?
Fore example at present it looks like this www.[default domain].com/[webapp name]/ I would really want it to read www.[secondary domain].com/[webapp name]
I am going to have to use redirects when promoting the page and just accept that the proper url is going to be www.[default domain].com/[webapp name]/
Any advice would be great.
Nothing to change, BC does not work like that. It is not two separate sites with the domains.
In the rare cases you have two domains (mostly you do not want this as you get 2 domains - same content, one sitemap.xml in BC, duplicate content issues etc) but when you do the items like web apps etc are shared. This is why for menu's and links you do relative path urls not absolute ones.

Go to a web app item on your domain. Change the domain part of the url to your new one and you will see it render out.

Hi Liam
Thank you for your response.
I'm a little confused to where I go to change this, as when I go into a web app item I find I can only change the url up to the point of that item rather than the whole URL. Is it within the set up of the web app? or within Domain set up?
Thanks

I'm wondering about publishing on a host, not BC, and using multiple domain names. Each time I save and export HTML, a new sitemap is generated with only 1 domain name. I do have 4 domain names for same site. At this point I just keep a sitemapbackup.xml file in MuseExport to keep all of the domain info. Any suggestions of how to export in a cleaner way?
