Twitter Embedded Timelines

I know this has been asked before but I have a different issue than the other questions. I have gotten the code from Twitter and the JS script for the head tag and plop it in where I want it. The timline works great styled how I want. There's a catch though it is like it times out or BC finally catches it and wraps it in a iframe. It is actually being changed in the code to an iframe. I put it in a <a> tag and come a week later it has been removed and an iframe is in it's place! Weird at first I thought it was just me who messed up but this is the third time. Any one know a script to programmatically keep this from happening? Thanks!

Put it in the template or layout of the module you are using, not in a place that is rendering a WYSIWYG.

I figured this out. When the client uses the WYSIWYG editor the system goes through and sees the twitter script in a <a> Tag and thinks it's wrong so removes and updates it with an iframe how twitter used to write the script. Does anyone have ideas on how to stop this? JavaScrip?

Thanks, Liam but I didn't use templates. They wanted free reign. I am thinking that was a mistake on my part. I guess we will have to revisit that topic.

Clients can edit their content with how you built it to what they want.

But they also need to understand that "free reign" means they can break the site, things wont work, things wont be optimised etc.

IF they hiring you to do their site you build it in a way to meet all the requirements, SEO needs blablabla etc.

Yeah, great advice! I let this slide and didn't want to push anymore, my fault. I think they may understand fully now

They would not like it if you kept telling them about their job and to do things.

I just still think it is odd people can still come to a web agency and not let them drive a project and do their job. You do not hire a lawyer and constantly telling them how to run their case etc so why is our industry so bad with this?

I hear you! This situation is due to my own inexperience. I will be more adept at allowing this not to happen in the future. I have now refused to take on two clients because of this very thing in the last couple months. I blame it on Wix and such sites for making it sound so easy. A point I bring up every time now.
