Updating a template resets it to it's default

Hi

I found this problem happening a few times and can't point the reason. Today I had to delete a banner from a home template and once I "updated" the page the template changed back to default (not my custom template) and also the phone template was erased. luckily I had a local backup.

This also happens to updated pages where the assigned template will revert to 'default'. It's really frustrating me and my clients as I need to keep on fix these issue and I can't charge for it.

Any ideas why this things happen?

Hi Micha,

Are you updating using Muse? Muse will always overwrite what is on the server. So any changes made in the admin will be overwritten.

Hi Brad,

No, I don't use Muse (or DW). I updated directly in the web admin.
