When items are placed in the shopping cart it deducts from the Inventory levels on the backend. This makes it impossible to get an accurate inventory level to know what we actually have in stock.
(On our high volume stores, shoppers can have up to $10,000 in their carts collectively at any given time. If we check inventory levels during high traffic, the levels are significantly off from what we actually have in stock.)
Is there a way to get an accurate in stock level while people could have items in their carts?

Hi Eric,
The option in this case is to request to have your "inventory hold" time adjust from the default setting of 48 hours down to 1 hour, which is the minium amount of time that can be applied. This will give you the most accurate inventory levels possible within the system.
If you want to have this adjusted please provide the site name so we can apply the changes. Otherwise reach out to direct support to assist with this change when ready.
Kind regards,
-Sidney

Hi Sidney,
I have a query along the same line.
We use onesaas to sync our inventory levels but we are finding discrepancies because of the shopping cart hold (I think) - could you please tell me where we can find what stock is held in carts? Is there a report somewhere?
Thank you

Also.. Are quotes inventory taken from stock or is only:
- invoices
and - shopping carts?
When we set our cart time to 1 hour we had so many customers call to complain they had 'lost' their cart. Our customers are stores that have people coming in all day so often take a while to complete there order.

Hi Sidney,
Did you get a chance to check this? We are having so many discrepancies in inventory in BC which is killing us.
1. could you please tell me WHERE we can find what stock is held in carts? Is there a report somewhere?
2. Are quotes inventory taken from stock? or is stock ONLY removed when invoices are generated and units are sitting somewhere in someones shopping cart?
3. We use Onesaas to integrate our Saasu (accounting) with BC but Onesaas says BC isn't updating the inventory properly as stock held in shopping carts (which no one can see!) isn't allowing it it be updated - do you know how we can fix this.
basically because of BC our inventory is wrong. Items aren't showing on our website because people have them in their carts (which we can't see) and when onesaas overrides the inventory from Saasu BC seems to manipulate it because of the shopping cart. Where does BC stand on shopping cart inventory?
Thank you,
DD

Stock is removes as soon as somene adds to cart and not restored until BC lodges an abandoned cart of which you can run reports on.
The issue with Onesaas is probably not updating enough and have some extra checks to check the stock correctly I would susspect and may need some enhancements from the team to account more for people adding to cart but not going through with sales.
Because an item is held in a cart but a person has not entered any details you cant know who they are etc, so you cant say "john has 4 items in cart" etc.

Hi Liam,
Thank you for replying - sorry to show my ignorance but how do you run a report on the abandoned cart products?
I found the report:
E-Commerce - > Abandon Rate
But there are no products there? only dates and $.

Hi,
We have as well from our e-commerce clients the request to report on abandonned products - not only dates and $ but to report on the actual abandoned products.
It would be useful to be able to drill down the amount figure on the abandonned report and see the detail, then e-commerce owners can start enhancing their abandonned products and take out the guesswork.
