downloading version 9.1.1 of ACR for photoshop cs6 exended. won't let me dowload the zip file. says missing source file
Hi,
Not sure if you were aware but, you can use the free Adobe DNG Converter to convert the a6500 Raw files to DNG without losing any image data and continue to open the DNGs in ACR 9.1.1.

it was the adobe page....... and after doing some looking. i seem to have v 9.1.1 etc installed on my computer...... duh........
was trying to get to 9.8 version, as i purchased a sony a6500 camera. seems that camera RAW 9.8 is needed to read the raw files from sony a 6500. i only have the photoshop cs6 extended. i DO NOT have photoshop cc.
so, i guess next question is can i download v9.8 for photoshop cs6 extended, or an i screwed and have to get the subscription plan????
i have tried a few sites to download the 9.8 and get the same error message...... can't locate source code....... guessing that has to do with the cc version???
any help would be appreciated, but if you have no ideas either, no big deal. i may just return the camera and continue on with my nikon d7100.
thank you

thank you to all that responded to my inquiry of downloading camera raw v 9.1.1 after poking around in my version of ps6 extended, i do indeed have the latest and LAST camera raw update that will be offered for cs6. if i want to be able to open raw images from the sony 6500, i will have to upgrade to the creative cloud subscription plan....
sadly, i sent the camera and all the goodies back to B&H photo, and am awaiting a credit to my account.
i am just now quite ready to pull the trigger on a monthly subscription plan.
again, thank you all for your efforts........

yes i am aware of that. tried it......... maybe i did something wrong, but when opened in ACR, i lost the ability to change things in the drop down menu for camera profiles. can't change anything as it's now saying embedded......... or maybe that was when i used the sony conversion to a digital neg........
anyway a moot point now, as the sony is back at B&H. sigh........
thank you for your efforts......
