Camera Profiles: Are they DCP or XMP files?

Hello - I am searching my hard drive (Mac) for the actual camera profile files.  I thought the camera profiles were DCP files.  I am specifically looking for the latest Fuji camera profiles.  I am on Camera RAW 14 and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 11.0.1.

It looks like camera profiles are now XMP files.  Is that correct?  Look at my screenshot.

Where are the Velvia and Across profiles located?  The ones Adobe created, not VSCO or some third party.

When I search my hard drive for DCP files, I don't find anything like Velvia and Across.

Camera profiles should be .dcp.

On my Mac, two paths depending on if custom or installed by Adobe:

/Users/~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw

Not all cameras support camera matching profiles. Go here and filter by brand (in your case Fuji) to see if such profiles even exist or not:

it is a little bit more complicated 

1) historically at first camera profiles were embedded in ACR (LR) code... they are still there... if you remove all camera profiles from your machine then ACR/LR will resort to those embedded profiles

2) for some camera models (old Sigma and Fuji) profiles are still only there (no external profiles as separate files)... one might assume there is a certain agreement between Adobe and ... not to put profiles as readily usable files... whatever is the reason - they are no external files ... even if you try to embedd them in DNG file by running ACR/LR and saving RAF to DNG with something like Camera ProNeg Hi you will not get it readily inside so that you can easily extract it and encode to standalone camera profile (and take it to DxO or whatever other raw converter).. so Adobe went to some pains to make it not happen for some reason... 

3) eventually Adobe introduced DCP - digital camera profiles, they went through few iterations allowing move complicated color transforms to be achieved ... Adobe Standard is what DCP profile is (example)

4) and lately Adobe introduced XMP profile-presets (if you see a name like Adobe Color - that is it) - briefly they are extra LUTs and some other settings modifying some DCP camera profile (usually Adobe Standard - but can be anything else for example Fuji's XMPs are based on "crs:CameraProfile="Camera PROVIA/Standard" - and this one in ACR/LR code) and for some recent Fuji models some profiles are actually those XMP profile-presets based on DCP profile (which still lives inside the code only as I noted earlier) - they are text files - look inside and enjoy (LUT is encoded though)
