Camera Raw and MacOs Catalina [Pencil (K), erase tool not working]

Camera RAW is not working properly since update to Catalina. Any updates soon?

Adobe never announces updates in advance. Typically, Camera Raw is updated about four times each year. The last time it was updated was 9/11/19. So you can estimate as well as I can when the next update might be. Whether or not that update will fix any problems with Catalina remains to be seen.

There are a few known issues with Photoshop and Camera Raw since the macOS Catalina update and our product teams are working on fixing them. We currently do not have a timeline on when a release would be rolled out with fixes to all the issues.

Pencil (K), erase tool doesn't work at all

Anything having to do with the "adjustment brush" is too slow. After utilizing that tool to make three or four adjustments, the spinning wheel shows up and it takes forever to render the results. After about a dozen adjustments with same tool it is even slower and sometimes will quit Camera Raw without saving any of the edits to the file.

Additionally, any edited file in camera raw takes a long time to open in photoshop.

ADOBE WAS INFORMED 3 YEARS AGO THAT 64 BIT CATALINA WAS ON THE HORIZON AND ADOBE HAS SELECTED TO PUT MORE RESOURCES IN PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT THAN IN MAKING CERTAIN THE PRODUCTS WORK PROMPTLY AFTER AN OS UPDATE. THAT'S RIGHT.....3 YEARS AGO
