Camera Raw out of GPU memory

New Here ,
Jul 17, 2024 Jul 17, 2024

Hello ! I apologize in advance for any mistakes, I'm writing using Google Translator. I've been having problems with Camera Raw for about 2 weeks, especially when I work with masks or denoise photos. there are messages about lack of memory, etc. I have had the computer for less than a year. I've never had any problems. I7 13700kf ram 32gb nvidia gforce rtx4070 card. In photoshop, help, GPU compatibility is ok. Same in preferences: PS or camera raw. everything is fine. The latest studio driver is on the card and I don't know why there are still problems. I would like to uninstall all applications and install them again, but I don't want to make a mistake and do something wrong. Can someone give me some advice, step by step, on where to look for the problem. Thank you and best regards

Your i7 13700kf has integrated graphics, that is what the "k" indicates, so effectively you have two GPUs. To utilise your RTX4070 appropriately, you might try these two things:

First, you can specify the preferred graphics processor to use from the NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Preferred graphics processor setting.

Secondly, you can also disable the onboard or integrated graphics using Windows Device Manager. (Can be easily accessed by pressing Windows Key + R and typing devmgmt.msc

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Try both and see if the problem persists.

Sorry, I see that you are correct. K processors have integrated graphics, KF do not. I have never had a KF hence my mistake.

Have you used overclocking with either CPU or GPU as that has been known to generate issues?

it doesn't matter 😉 No, I didn't overclock it because there was no need. Besides, I don't do anything with peacocks now, I often correct photos for my friend

In Camera Raw 17.1 (the new update today), you should see a reduction in VRAM used on Windows when you close the Camera Raw diglog after having used the Masking panel.
