Opening a raw (CR2) file via Camera Raw 11.4 (only older version I could test) and then looking at File -> File Info in Photoshop we can see that the RawFileName tag is present (looking at the "Raw Data" in that dialog):
xxx.CR2
Doing the same in Camera Raw 12.1 or greater with PS 2020/2021 we will see that the RawFileName tag is missing in the File Info dialog and when we save the file as jpg, for instance, the RawFileName will obviously not be exported as a XMP:RawFileName tag as it used to in older versions.
It was addressed 2 years ago but have not seen solutions yet, and i was hoping with newer updates we should see a fix by now, but i am wondering if there is any alternatives/ or fix to this problem if Adobe is aware of?

Hi there,
Thanks for highlighting this.
What is the version of your macOS? Would you mind updating Camera Raw and Photoshop?
I tried to follow the workflow provided in my Windows 10 PC with Photoshop version 23.1 and Camera Raw 14.1, and I was able to get the details (Screenshot Attached). Also, I exported a copy of the same as JPG and it also carried the same details.
Let us know if that works for you.
Thanks,
Ranjisha

Thank you for following up...
I am using Mac Catalina OS. The one on the left i used older Camera Raw settings CameraRaw_11_4... which would not work with Latest Bridge 2021. The one on the right is the new Bridge 2022 and Camera Raw 14.1, which seems not to write Metadata for Raw Filename tags. Are you able to see Raw Filename tag in your File in Bridge after using Camera Raw? Thanks...

The new Camera Raw Metadata is missing raw filename tags like the one attached below (From an older Camera Raw 11.4).... Which is kinda of odd that it would be excluded on newer versions...
Thanks
