Camera Raw is a plugin for Bridge and Photoshop, and cannot be launched as a standalone application.

To launch Camera Raw, double-click a raw file in Bridge or the Finder, or use File > Open in Photoshop.

There is also the Camera Raw filter, which works with rendered (non-raw) files from within Photoshop, and is accessed from the Filter menu.

If this doesn't help, please provide a detailed description of the problem.

It looks like I have got the sam problem.

Within Bridge I tried to open a picture by right click and open caerma raw.

Getting the message Camera Raw is not activated.

Camera Raw processing is only possible if there is a valid product lizenced before?

As I own Lightroom 5, I thougt this is the case ?

You have Photoshop right? So why not try opening a raw from it.

If you don't have Photoshop, you don't have ACR. With or without Bridge or Lightroom.

I haven't got Photoshop. Using LR and Bridge and downloaded ACR from the Download area. Thought it would work in this combination?

No, I don't  believe so. You can process the raws in Lightroom of course.

You are right, I can open them in LR, but not with ACR.
