Confused with "Load Settings ..." vs "Set Raw Defaults ..." in ACR

I have a setting that I want it to load every time I open a RAW photo in ACR.

I always have to do it manually by doing "Load Settings ..." 

Can I set it load automatically when I open a RAW photo in ACR?  Is it using the "Set Raw Defaults .."  I tried. It never worked for me.

Need help.  Thank you.

Set Raw Defaults should work. After you load your favorite settings, did you then set it up as a preset so that preset could be selected in the Global menu under Raw Defaults?

I try to do the same thing with JPG photos but it doesnt work to save the default settings because it is for "Set Raw Defaults".

Need help. Thank you.
