A couple of days ago I noticed that when I am zooming in on part of the image and I am using, let's say, the Move tool, when I press the space bar to temporarily get the HAND tool and move the canvas, when I release the space bar, the hand tool persists and I do not get back to the move tool. This is extremely annoying, and I need to get around this issue, as it is affecting my work.
Any hints?

Hi @hanil7up, Sorry to hear about your issue. We're here to help!
Are you on the new macOS Tahoe 26 or Sequoia 15.5 (24F74)? It seems like you're using an older version of Photoshop; a newer version is available. I'd suggest updating the application. Also, could you share a screen recording of the issue? That would be incredibly helpful. You can share via Google Drive, WeTransfer, or another public file-sharing platform with your response. Thanks a lot!
You can try out these quick fixes to see if they change anything.
1) Tap the Spacebar Again: Sometimes, the simplest solution works. Press and release the spacebar one more time. This can often "unstick" the Hand tool.
2) Disable "Flick Panning" in Photoshop: "Flick Panning" is a feature that allows you to "throw" the canvas and have it glide, but it can sometimes interfere with the Hand tool's normal behavior.
Go to Photoshop > Preferences > Tools.
Uncheck the box for Enable Flick Panning.
Restart Photoshop.
3) Check macOS Accessibility Settings: For steps and more info, please refer to this article: Navigate your Mac using Full Keyboard Access.
4) Reset Photoshop Preferences: Sometimes, a corrupted preferences file can cause all sorts of trouble. It is recommended that you back up your preferences before you reset them. For steps and more information, please refer to this HelpX article: Preferences in Photoshop.
Let us know how it goes!
Cheers!
