Hi

is there a way to block camera raw v 12.x and camera v 13.x to create cache ?

with camera raw version 10.x i was enought have the file Index.dat read only and it does block camera raw version 10.x to create tons of file inside the cache folder

c:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Adobe\CameraRaw\Cache\

with version 12.x or 13.x , i have really a problem , i have tons of these files inside c:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Adobe\CameraRaw\Cache\

is there a way or a trick to blocking it ?

i have 128 GB of ram

Hi,

The Camera Raw Cache are important for the plug-in/app while processing the images. For more on why the cache are important, please check: https://forum.luminous-landscape.com/index.php?topic=25231

We do not have a way of blocking Camera Raw from Creating the cache but you can limit the amount of storage it uses for the purpose by going to the Preferences for Camera Raw, then Performance & changing the Maximum size.

The Camera Raw cache has one purpose: to speed things up. It keeps data handy so they don't have to be regenerated from scratch every time.

Is there a specific problem you're trying to fix?
