The Panasonic S5 Mark 2 was allegedly supported shortly after release, however, i have lost id say about 15-20% of all imports to unspecific 'error's with the images up until most recent updates.
This frustrating issue as with all things Panasonic has resulted in hot potato between Adobe and Panasonic, with neither party admitting fault nor responsibility. Frustratingly lost some fantastic shots from my travels.

Since i got this camera, therre was no initial support for raw imports. Eventually it was implemented but i have found the initial imports with this setup to be buggy as hell, about 20% of my imports were casting up unsuported or damaged file errors with lightroom has had an error reading this photo.
Can anyone help me recover these images or are they gone for good?

If you have backups of the photos, or if the photos are still on the camera card, you can recover your photos from those.
Unsupported or damaged file errors usually indicates some hardware malfunction somewhere; it could be the camera card is bad, or the transfer to your computer is bad, or the hard disk is malfunctioning, or any one of a number of other malfunctions.

If you are talking about LUMIX DC-S5M2(X), then it is supported since 12.2 (12.3).

You need to share more details about your process, i.e how you transfer the photos, where you store them, how you import ...? Screenshots help as well.
