JPEG rechtstreeks uit Canon 5D Mark IV heeft geen kleurprofiel

Ik heb een probleem. Als schoolfotograaf schoot ik mijn foto's altijd in RAW en zette alles daarna om naar JPEG om alles te uploaden naar het online bestelsysteem. Nu heb ik de lichtomstandigheden zo goed onder controle dat ik voortaan rechtstreeks in JPEG fotografeer. Nu gebeurt er iets vreemds.... De JPEG-foto's die ik zonder bewerking upload komen aan ZONDER kleurprofiel. De JPEG foto's die ik nog iets crop of een andere bewerking meegeef, sla ik op als JPEG. Adobe (Bridge/RAW converter) geeft de foto een -1 nummer en ik gooi de originele weg. Deze foto's komen MET kleurprofiel aan. De foto's zonder bewerking en dus zonder kleurprofiel zien er als thumbnail koud en kil uit. Ook de bestelde en afgedrukte foto is koud en kil. Ik heb inmiddels een afdruk van dezelfde foto MET en ZONDER kleurprofiel. Dat scheel dag en nacht.

Hoe kan dit nu? De originele JPEG foto uit mijn camera is ook maar 72 ppi, de afmeting is 4480x6720 en de grootte is 5,86 MB. De opgeslagen bewerkte foto (ik heb een proef gedaan waarbij ik de originele foto uit de camera heb omgezet naar "opslaan als" en er verder niets aan gewijzigd) wordt dan 300 ppi, 4480x6720 en een grootte van 3,30 MB. Het bestand wordt dus kleiner...

Ik heb contact opgenomen met Canon maar die sturen mij door naar Adobe omdat ik geen gebruik maak van hun software. Heel veel klanten van mij hebben nu dus foto's ontvangen zonder kleurprofiel en daar schaam ik me eigenlijk best wel voor. De foto's komen wel mooi op mijn (Eizo) monitor in beeld. Pas na het uploaden zie ik dat de thumbnails bleek zijn en blijkt dat de foto's na het online bestellen er ook zo uit komen zien.

Een probleem waar ik vooralsnog geen aanknopingspunt heb.

Bij de metagegevens is bij het verschil van beide foto's maar één ding: de opgeslagen foto krijgt een extra regel "Adobe Photoshop Camera RAW 9.10 (Macintosh)

The PPI setting is virtually meaningless in this instance. Whether it is set at 300 PPI or 72 PPI, the image still has the same number of pixels, still has exactly the same dimensions. The only value the PPI setting has is to assist you in determining how large the image would be at any PPI setting. It has no effect on the quality of the image. As far as the smaller size of the file is concerned, if you are saving the image at a setting of 10 which is the maximum in Photoshop or Camera Raw, then

As far as the smaller size of the file is concerned, if you are saving the image at a setting of 10 which is the maximum in Photoshop or Camera Raw, then the only explanation can be the difference in compression algorithms used by Adobe.
