hi, I'm using older version Camera Raw (12.2.1) because I am more comfortable working in this version. But this version not supported NEF from Nikon Z6 II. Trehe is a any wa to force 12.2.1 to opening this NEF? (Of course, apart from converting to DNG). Thx, best regards.
There IS a way to "force" camera raw 12.2.1 to open the NEF files from that camera if you really want to go to the effort of doing what has to be done. You could use a program such as Irfanview to modify the model identifier of each and every NEF file so that it then identified the file as one supported by that version of camera raw. The only problem is that camera raw would then provide the profiles for the other camera model and not the profiles for the Nikon Z6 II. There is no way to override that. Personally, I think you will get better results by converting the images to DNG, and it will be a lot simpler.
Spend some time being uncomfortable to learn the new interface, then you wont have any hassles with compatibility. And you might even learn to like the new interface!
