I'm looking for help in regards to numbering, when saving files in Camera RAW. I want the first file saved to start with the number 1 rather than have no number, so that I can keep the order of images in tact. It's a pain having to relabel that one file so that it appears first. I've looked within CC and on this forum for answers but to no avail. I can see the "Start Numbering With" option but it's grayed out and it's not accessible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Baiancaf,
Could you please follow the steps mentioned below:
You can create an action to automate the processing of image files with Camera Raw. You can automate the editing process, and the process of saving the files in formats such as PSD, DNG, JPEG, Large Document Format (PSB), TIFF, and PDF. In Photoshop, you can also use the Batch command, the Image Processor, or the Create Droplet command to process one or more image files. The Image Processor is especially useful for saving image files in different file formats during the same processing session.
Here are some tips for automating the processing of camera raw image files:

I personally would use the batch tools built into ACR:

"Start numbering with" is grayed out unless you do this. In the "Save Options" box put your chosen file name as previous and then in the dropdown box to the immediate right, select one of the 1-6 digit numbers options. "Start Numbering With" can now be used. Phil.

You could also just use batch rename options in Bridge or Lightroom before you process files.
