Hi Everyone,
We recently upgraded are memory cards to the SanDisk Extreme Pro V30 64 GB and we are having so many problems. My co-worker and I keep getting "Disk Error" or "file-format module cannot parse the file" when we try to open the .NEF files in photoshop which then should prompt camera raw to open. Then when try to eject the memory card, it makes us force quit. Our old card was a SanDisk 1.0 GB (yes, I know, that's not a lot) and it worked.
I have formatted the card using my mac's disk utility with ex-fat, also I have checked on the removable volumes, documents folders and desktop folder in the security and privacy option with password entered. My co-worker has tried bridge and it worked once and then it didn't work. I have upgraded to the latest verison of each of the adobe creative suite applications.
We are working on 2017 iMacs, running macOS Big Sur verison 11.2.3. The camera is a Nikon D800. There hasn't been a problem with the memory card with the camera.
Please help! I'm going crazy. 😛

Have you tried formatting the new cards using the camera instead of the computer?

I don't know anything at all about that specific card, and I'm a Windows user. But I do know that it's recommended that the cards should be formatted in the camera and NOT by the computer. I don't know if that has caused the problem in this situation or not.

Update: It will open .jpegs but it won't open .NEF or .TIFF files.
