Photoshop Elements 15 Camera Raw Update

I am unable to update my camera raw with photoshop elements 15. I check for the update under help, but I'm told that everything is up to date. Does anyone know the steps I need to update my camera raw so that I don't have to change my NEF's to DNG's in order for me to edit them?

What camera do you have?

What operating system are you using?

The newest camera raw update adobe provides for pse 15 is 9.10, even though camera raw is already up to 9.12

mac os 10.12.5

And I downloaded the camera raw_9_12.pkg, but when I opened photoshop again it's still saying that I have 9.5.0.585.

If you go to

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins

do you see an CC folder with a File Formats folder inside?

If so, is there a Camera Raw.plugin inside the File Formats folder?

My mistake. I have pse 14 and not 15.

And once I get to the adobe folder there isn't a plug-ins folder.

Then that explains why your pse is saying your up to date since camera raw 9.5 is the newest version adobe provides for pse 14.

I guess I'm going to have to use the DNG converter until I get pse15 or higher. Thanks for your help!
