I have a Canon R5 camera and I shoot only Raw files, but when I downloaded the files using Bridge Photo Downloader, all files are downloaded as JPEG. Any suggestion?

So you are or are not using Adobe Camera Raw?

Yes, I use Adobe Bridge to review the files and then process them in Photoshop.

If you copy the images manually, do you get CR3 files?

You are right, manual download gives me CR3 files. Any suggestion on how to fix the downloader?

The photo downloader has been buggy for some time now. Not sure what the fix is.

Hi,

Are the jpgs the preview files from your camera? Do you still have the RAW files on your camera? Have you tried copying the folder directly from your Camera to your Hard Drive and then opening them in Bridge to see if you get the RAW files?

Yes, if I transfer the files manually, it downloads as DNG file. So I assume the problem lies with PhotoDownloader?

It sounds like that. What version of Bridge are you using? Did you upgrade recently?

Ok look, you won't get DNG files from the camera. The R5 can save in JPEG, CR3, or HEIF formats. Please post screenshots of EXACTLY what you are doing and what kind of files you are getting.
