TIFF files and Denoise

I normally use Canon's DDP4 to process raw files which allows a TIFF file to then be sent to Photoshop/ACR.  However the new Denoise button is greyed out for TIFF files which is disappointing.  Any idea why that should be ?

Denoise only works with mosaic raw files (single channel; Bayer encoded) directly from a camera sensor.

It does not work on demosaiced RGB files.

Adobe has said they are looking into letting AI Denoise work with more formats, but for now it’s still raw only.

You can use AI Denoise if you have ACR open the original raw file and process it with that.
