after updating photoshop , when i opened it for the first time there was option to use camera raw as it is (vertical film) or to change it to new UI (with new look and horizontal filmstrip ), i just clicked new UI to see how it looks , i thought if i dont like it i will just go back to using older UI but there is no option to select older UI , i contacted adobe but person who was helping me just suggested that i should install older version of camera raw or ask for help from this forum , i found it bit frustrating that if there was simple option to choose new UI so why not give option to revert back to older UI with newly updated software. maybe its bug or adobe forcing people to use new UI even if they dont like it

Thank you for continuing to provide valuable feedback on the recent UI changes in Adobe Camera Raw 12.3. For some customers these changes have disrupted existing workflows, particularly for in-process projects. To mitigate these issues we have offered a roll back to version 12.2.1 so that you can continue your current projects under the old UI.

Adobe updated the Camera Raw user interface for several reasons. The new design supports commonly-requested features, such as a horizontal filmstrip, a

This is a user to user support forum. What would you like us to do?

Do you need assistance in rolling back to the last version?

If you want to tell Adobe your opinions of the new version, you're in the wrong location. What you should do is go to this site and follow the instructions:

The new UI is what it is. Something that might help if you choose not to revert to a previous version is right click on one of the section headers such as Basic or Tone Curve, etc. and choose the option, Single panel mode. If you choose that option then when one of the sections is open the others will collapse.

Well done. You have made ACR completely useless. Cropping a single picture takes forever, and the whole workflow is a joke. How is it possible to release something thats not working?

Dear God yes. I am here trying to find how to lock the stupid crop tool to the aspect I want and not change it back after every freaking image. This is why I didn't use LR, because of the stupid crop tool. Why can't we decide to leave it like before?

Yes, there are three possible solutions:

1. Roll back to the last version. Installers can be found here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-in-installer.html#12_x

You will need to use the CC application to roll back Bridge to the last version if you use it with ACR.

2. Learn to use the new version.

3. Move to another product.

We are shouting as loudly as we can.  Hopefully someone with some clout at Adobe chooses to use  ACR day in day out.

Jeffrey, why are you defending the UI when most hate it? You are a senior Adobe employee and seems like you are not listening to what your customers want! Instead you ban anyone who questions the apple cart!

I completely agree, Sean.  I'm baffled that anyone would think these changes were in the right direction.  As far as adapting to the new, I'm perfectly willing to do that but not to changes I did not ask for and which make ACR seriously worse.

It appears that our Andrew loves to use quotations to justify his rather nasty demeanor against fellow forum members.
It's a pity there is no block or ignore feature so we don't have to read comments that provide zero value to any such topic.............zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
