CS4 Cant open a JPEG or PSD

Hi Please will you help me.

I use CS4 on a daily basis. Yesterday I was able to open an image with no problem. Today when i try to open the same image, the image does not open in the main window. I can see the various layers in the right hand window, but there is a blank window in the main view window. Any ideas?

You haven't provided much information, hard to suggest your next step.  A screenshot would help, along with a description of your system.

Perhaps you have disabled a layer (the eye symbol on the left side of the layer descriptor)?
