I have downloaded and installed the Adobe DNG Profile Editor, Version 1.0.0.47 beta
Two files get downloaded: DNG Profile Editor.app" and also "DNG Profile Editor.app.dSYM".
I am using an Apple iMac running High Sierra
The program seems to start up properly when I click on it.
When I click on File > Open DNG Image. ......the file opens. "file name... then M8 Digital Camera - White Balance: 4950/10"
If I select Tone Curve, the program works
If I select "Color Matrices" this is what happens:
I go to "Temperature" setting, and try to move any "slider".
I get an error message "The operation could not be completed."
I click OK.
I go back to the program window, and at the top of the screen for DNG Profile Editor" and then select "Quit DNG Profile Editor".
Sometimes the program will not quit. In that case I need to Force Quit.
Other times it closes.
If I close and try to re-open an image, or a different image, I get "DNG Profile Editor could not open the selected image. Note that the selected image must be a valid DNG color image".

I don't have a Mac so cannot answer your question from personal experience. About the only thing I can suggest is redownload and re-install in case something wasn't quite, but maybe it doesn't work, I don't know.
It seems you wanted to include some screenshots. If so you need create the message on the web version of the forums rather than e-mail where attachments aren't allowed, and either copy-paste an image into the message text or upload an image using the photo icon above where you type in the reply. There is some size limit to them, so don't copy-paste your entire hi-res screen or multiple monitors. Make the window your pasting less than full screen or crop off the parts outside the window.
This is the "insert photo" icon:

Not sure if I already sent this to you - it seems to be a reasonable explanation of why the editor no longer works:
Adobe DNG Profile Editor
created by Jao vdL <https://forums.adobe.com/people/Jao+vdL> in Lightroom Classic CC — The desktop-focused app - View the full discussion <https://forums.adobe.com/message/10645761#10645761>
They changed the way we are supposed to make profiles now. Go to Digital Negative (DNG), Adobe DNG Converter | Adobe Photoshop CC <https://forums.adobe.com/external-link.jspa?url=https%3A%2F%2Fhelpx.adobe.com%2Fphotoshop%2Fdigital-negative.html%23resources> and download the profiles SDK. It will contain instructions on how to generate profiles that shift white balance, change saturation, etc. Basically it will generate a creative profile in xmp format that you can call up in Lightroom Classic, Camera Raw and Lightroom CC.
We are also discussing it here:
