2 quizzes per project, is it possible?

My client has a final quiz at the end of a project, that is scored for each user in their LMS. They would like to add another survey "quiz" after the first quiz that asks them a few questions and the client need to receive those answer back.  Is there a way that Captivate can A) have 2 quizzes that are scored and B) receive written answers back to their LMS?

It is a SCORM requirement that each file can have only one Quiz. You'll need to have one of the quizzes in a separate CP-file. Since the second part are survey questions, which are not scored by default, why cannot the be in the same quiz?

Is there a way to score survey questions? We would like them to be in the same Captivate file, but if thats not possible, we will have to make it in a separate file.

They are not meant to be 'scored', but in this article you can find a workaround with MCQ type of questions. You certainly need a separate file in that case.

Thanks for getting back to me. I viewed the link you shared, however I need for the user to be able to type in their input as opposed to having a list of choices that the use can use. So it will ask a question, and will show a text box where the user can write. Thats more or less what they are looking to do.

How will you 'score' such a short answer survey?  The only way to attach a score to a short answer question is when the user has entered exactly the same text as the one indicated as being correct. I don't think that will ever be possible in your case.

If you explain the scoring you want, could offer you other workarounds.

I'm not after a "score" per say, the client just needs to know what the user typed into the text boxes. There will be about 5 questions and a text box for each.

Each text box will have a question like "Did this course benefit you at all? If so, explain how."

So we would need the exact user input to be give back to the instructor.

Is this possible?

SInce you don't want a score, but only see the answers, my first answer is still valid: check how the LMS is reporting the Survey questions, and keep everything in one quiz.

Your first answer was having the user type the same text as the correct answer which won't work. I need them to type in their own answers. Was that was you're referring to?

No, my first answer was about having both the Survey and the Quiz in the same file, since Survey doesn't have scores which will make the difference in the LMS report.

Later on you required to have a score for the Survey questions. At that moment I answered that scoring with the default Short Answer questions will only be assigned to the user if the answer is exactly the same as the one that has been indicated as correct answer. This clearly has no sense in your use case, which I tried to explain. You have to check with the LMS how the results of the survey questions are reported, because that is not the same for all LMS's. If your LMS also reports the value of user variables, you could even create custom questions using the learning interactions, advanced actions and variables. The Scrolling Text Interaction is an example, you can associate it with a user variable.
