Is it possible to have hotspots that stay on the 360 video while it's playing?  It looks like the hotspots only show when the video is paused.

Hotspots have a frame based implementation...

In a video context as the video plays, you may want to highlight different parts of video, and an interactive hotspot may not be relevant when the frame of the video changes... You may have a different scene or dynamic entity present at the same location.

Hotspots are tied to a specific point in time on your timeline. You may wish to play the video and have them appear at the end of the video when the slide pauses. I think the reason for this is that the location you may wish to have learners focus on could be in a different location as you move from one position to the next on the timeline.

Alright... So, it sounds like there isn't interactive 3d video support yet... I was hoping it could do something like Virtual Tour Pro Virtual Tour Pro - 3DVista where you could put buttons directly on the video.

Thanks for this clarification, confirming my suspicion. Is it correct to say that you can insert a 360Video (which was not possible in previous versions), but the Hotspots workflow is limited to 360Images?

Hotspot workflow is exactly the same for 360 image as well as 360 video.. just that the hotspots do not have a timing.. they are interactive elements for which captivate output pauses just like any other interactive object.. but as the captivate output proceeds forward.. (whether image or video) the frames move forward.. and hotspots of previous frames(with different appear after timings) are no longer visible.

How did you try to insert the video? You need to use a 360 slide which you can choose from the big button Slides. You would see a button in the center of the slide which you need to click to insert the video. Are you using a Theta V camera? The output format should work, I use that one as well.
